GUWAHATI: N.F. Railway has recently upgraded the facilities available at Kamakhya Railway station in Guwahati by adding more amenities for passengers' wellness.
The station is being developed jointly with the Union Ministry of Tourism.
It is to be mentioned that a total of 10 retiring rooms that have free wifi, television, air-conditioner etc. for passengers have been constructed in the station. A dormitory containing 10 beds for male passengers and another for female passengers has been added. It has free wifi, AC, TV, informed an NFR authority.
Waiting halls that have the capacity to accommodate 120 passengers with digital display system, mobile charging points, AC, free Wifi, separate male and female washrooms, drinking water booths, TV etc. has been constructed with paintings contributed by local artistes to promote local culture.

As of now, trains such as the Northeast Express, Kamakhya Yesvantpur Express, Kamakhya- LTT Express, Kamakhya – Anand Vihar Express, Kamakhya – Indore Express are the originating from Kamakhya station.
