GUWAHATI: With the quickening pace of COVID-19 cases in the state, one more case was detected on Friday.
Reportedly the student identified as Deepa Deka hails from Nalbari.
The affected patient is a girl who happens to be a student of Regional Dental College, Guwahati. This brings the total number of cases in Assam up to 59.

Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to twitter last night to break the information. “Alert - One student of Regional Dental College, Kamrup Metro has tested COVID19 positive," the minister tweeted.
With this new case being recorded in the state, the total number of active cases has risen to 24.
