GUWAHATI: In a one-sided encounter of the Guwahati Premier Football League (GPFL) held at Judges' Field, Guwahati, on December 26, Oil India Limited (OIL) showcased their expertise against ASEB Sports Club, emerging victorious with a convincing 3-0 win.
The offensive players of OIL displayed remarkable skill and precision. Mondila Rongme set the tone of the match with a goal in the 1st minute, while Akrang Narzary expanded the lead in the 67th minute. Sangson Saikia sealed the victory soon after with a goal in the 69th minute.
The standout performer of the match was OIL’s Sishuram Chutia, earning him the Player of the Match title. In recognition of his contribution, he was awarded a trophy and a cash prize of ₹2100, presented by Rajinder Singh, Joint Secretary, Assam Cricket Association.
Looking ahead, the excitement continues with the upcoming matches on December 27. GPlus Athletic will face off against Young Amateur Club in the first match, kicking off at 2:45 pm. Following that, NFRSA will clash with North East United FC in the second match, scheduled for a 5 PM kickoff.
