GUWAHATI: Guwahati police seized a total of 73.14 gram of suspected heroin in a series of coordinated operations across the city on Wednesday, December 11, resulting in multiple arrests.

A team from the Special Operations Group (SOG) of West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) and Bharalumukh Police Station apprehended Rubiya Begum from Pandu after 12.09 gram of suspected heroin was recovered from her possession.
In a separate operation near No. 2 Rail Gate, a team from the Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD) and Pan Bazaar Police Station arrested 20-year-old Sairuddin Ali from Bilasipara, seizing 18 vials of suspected heroin weighing 23.59 gram.
Further, Uday Das, a resident of Jalukbari, was arrested by WGPD’s Fatasil Ambari Police Station team, who recovered 28 vials of suspected heroin weighing 37.46 gram.
The police have initiated legal action, and further investigations are underway.
