GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Police successfully recovered a stolen truck from a village near Kohima in Nagaland.
A team of Odalbakra Outpost (under Dispur Police Station), acting on specific intelligence information, raided Kidima village in Kohima district of Nagaland and managed to recover the stolen truck.
Guwahati Police took to X (earlier known as Twitter) on Saturday to put out the success story, “An EGPD team from Odalbakra OP of Dispur PS recovered the stolen Tata Yodha (AS01 QC 6836) at Kidima in Nagaland, with support from Khujama PS of Nagaland Police. Due diligence is on to hand it over to its rightful owner.”
There are reports that a large number of cars and motorcycles stolen from Guwahati often find its way to villages in Nagaland and Manipur.
But, this is probably one of the rarest cases that the Guwahati Police could successfully recover one of the stolen trucks from Nagaland.
