The display is on at the office of the Commissioner of Police in Panbazar.

These devices had been lying in different police stations across the city for an extended period. The inability to trace the genuine owners had resulted in these gadgets accumulating in police custody. The police, therefore, decided to publicly display these items in the hope that the rightful owners might come forward to claim their belongings.

The entire list showing the model and make of the items is attached below for reference. Police have requested the rightful owners to contact the respective police stations as stated below and claim theirs after submitting proof of ownership.

Guwahati Police also took to X on June 13 to put out, “Lost & Found! Guwahati Police is displaying 650 mobile phones & 16 laptops tomorrow. These were recovered from thieves and were lying in different Police Stations of the city due to non-traceability of genuine owners.”
