GUWAHATI: Guwahati Police has successfully busted a motorbike-lifting network, and has arrested five members of the gang.
A joint team comprising officers from Basistha Police Station and Hatigaon Police Station on Sunday successfully busted a network involved in the theft and resale of scooters and motorcycles.
The EGPD team, acting on intelligence, executed the operation that led to the apprehension of the five members of the motorbike-lifting gang. Four stolen two-wheelers were recovered from them.
The operation resulted in the arrest of five individuals, suspected to be the key operatives of this criminal network.
The arrested individuals have been identified as follows, Anup Timung, hailing from Lichubagan, Biswajit Timing, also from Lichubagan, Kanak Boro, another resident of Lichubagan, Biswajit Ramchiary, from Barama and Arjun Chamua, residing in Nayanpur.
