GUWAHATI: Guwahati police arrested one veteran criminal on Friday, December 20, during a raid at a luxury apartment on VIP Road. The arrest was carried out by the Garchuk Police Station.

The suspect has been identified as Pranab Ronghang, who hails from Baithalangshu, and is a known offender with multiple bike-lifting cases to his name.
Ronghang often posed as a businessman and was frequently seen driving luxury cars.He is reportedly a close associate of another bike thief who is already in police custody.
Ronghang is not a first-time offender; he was previously arrested by Dispur Police Station in connection with the high-profile kidnapping and murder case of Biswajit Hazarika.
Law enforcement officials revealed that Ronghang’s arrest is part of an ongoing crackdown on organised crime in the area. Investigations are still underway to uncover further links to other criminal activities.
