GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Police apprehended two minors from Meghalaya on Monday morning, August 29, for smuggling cannabis. The two minor boys hail from Tyrsad village in East Khasi hills district of Meghalaya.
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Noonmati Police Station told G Plus that after receiving secret information, they conducted a search operation on Monday at around 6.50 AM, and apprehended the two.
The OC further said, "We arrested them from Forest Gate Tiniali."
The Police recovered 29.2 Kg of cannabis. An SUV was also seized from their possession, police said.
A case has been registered against the two and further details are awaited.
