GUWAHATI: A person in police uniform has been detained by a police patrolling party. The incident occurred in the Garchuck area of Guwahati on February 25, Thursday night.
The personnel was wearing a sub-inspector rank uniform.
On being confronted by the police, he claimed to be posted in the Crime Branch. As per the officials, the actual motive of his action is yet be ascertained. This was informed to G Plus by the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police, West Guwahati District.
The police have started an investigation on the matter and a case has been registered at Garchuk Police Station.
