Guwahati Municipal Corporation Introduces Three New Water Sprinklers

GUWAHATI: Under the "Pollution-Free India Mission" and the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP), the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has purchased three new water sprinkler vehicles.

To further improve the cleanliness and environmental sustainability of city roads, GMC has now acquired an additional three water sprinkler vehicles, as compared to the earlier three. These six vehicles will aid in controlling dust on various city roads.

In addition, GMC has also procured two new buses to facilitate the daily transportation of cleaning staff. These buses will operate across different locations under GMC's jurisdiction, helping to save both time and costs for the cleaning personnel.

These measures are expected to enhance the cleanliness and sanitation systems in Guwahati and contribute to a safer urban environment.

The Mayor of Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Mrigen Sarma, inaugurated the new vehicles today, Saturday, August 31.
