GUWAHATI: A 28-year-old man from Guwahati, Assam was tied to a tree and allegedly assaulted for molesting a woman near a slum area in Agra, Uttar Pradesh on July 14.
The woman is in her early 20s and her family had provided the accused shelter for a night in their hut.

The man has been identified as Jalaluddin and booked under IPC section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).
It should be noted that no FIR has been lodged against any person for thrashing Jalaluddin.
However, station house officer said that the accused was tied to the tree so that he does not run away before the arrival of the police and he was not assaulted.
Jalaluddin has been sent to prison.
