GUWAHATI: Guwahati is surrounded by hills and is very much prone to landslides, especially during the monsoon season.
In an unfortunate incident, incessant rains triggered a landslide in Guwahati’s Maligaon area, which caused a house to completely collapse.

The incident took place in Nilachalpur area in Maligaon.
Meanwhile, the SDRF (State Disaster Response Fund) team reached the spot and confirmed no report of any casualties.
It is to be mentioned that a newly constructed road in Amiya Nagar area of Chandmari hill near Holy Child School was also affected due to a landslide on July 11.
