Guwahati Girl Robbed for 6th time in city - Thief captured on CCTV

In a sensational incident in Guwahati, a city girl was robbed from her residence in Tarun Nagar at around 2:30 pm on Tuesday afternoon. The thief reportedly took around Rs. 2000 in cash, a mobile phone, a laptop, jewellery and some of her undisclosed personal belongings.
  
The victim, Kaveri Baruah who is an Account Manager at a city based radio station has lodged an FIR with the Bhangagarh Police Station.

Incidentally, this is the 6th time the victim has been robbed. Previously, her residences at Chandmari, Jonali, Lachit Nagar were also robbed.

Speaking to G Plus, Kaveri said, “I feel targeted and concerned about the security of the people here in the city. Although I am not doubting any one of my acquaintances as of yet, the person caught on the CCTV footage seemed familiar to the owners.”

In a Facebook post, the victim described the condition of her house as she entered:

“Came back from office and found my flat lock broken. Stuff all on the floor, my things loitered all around. My almirah left opened and my cash all gone and also my phn (unused)”

However, the thief was caught in the act as she shared the CCTV footage of the thief getting inside her apartment:

 

While the police has registered a complaint, Baruah alleged inaction by the police while she tried to lodge the complaint:

An FIR has now been registered and police is currently investigating the matter.
