GUWAHATI: The Assam Athletics Association will conduct the first State Level Open Masters Athletics Championships at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Sarusajai Sports Complex in Guwahati on June 1 and 2.
The Championships and events will be organised following the Rules of World Athletics-Competition and Technical Rules 2022, WMA technical rules, and the Indian Athletics Manual, an official notification read.
The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Assam Government will be followed for hosting this State Level Athletics Championships.
Here are the championships and eligibility details:
1. The individuals who are over 35 years of age will enter the Competition. An Athlete can enter TWO individual events.
2. The Competition will be organised for the athletes who were born before June 15, 1987
3. The entries should be submitted through the E-mail of the Assam Athletics Association (assamathleticsassociation@gmail.com) directly by the individual Athletes or by the Affiliated District/Sub-Division/units from May 24 to 28 up to 12 AM, other than “E-mail” will not be accepted. In other words, no manual entry will be accepted. In addition, the entries in the form of soft copy (i.e. Excel format only) should be submitted to Assam Athletics Association as per the prescribed format.
4. Athletes have to carry their 2nd dose vaccination certificate. Without a valid 2nd dose vaccination certificate, athletes will not be allowed to enter the Stadium. This Certificate should be produced before the event.
5. An entry fee of Rs.1000 per athlete to be submitted offline in the mode of cash directly by athletes. The entry fee paid is non-refundable.
