GUWAHATI: A massive fire broke out in the Ulubari area of Guwahati on November 12, Thursday.

'Sports India' a sports shop located opposite B. Baruah College was gutted in the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown but it's suspected to be a short circuit.
The total property involved in the fire amounts to Rs 5 lakh rupees. As per officials in the fire and emergency department, properties worth Rs 4.5 lakh were damaged.

"The incident occurred at around 9:30 PM. As soon as the same was reported, four water tender vehicles rushed to the spot to douse the fire. By 10:40 PM, the fire had been doused," Jayshree Khersa, Deputy Director Fire & Emergency Services informed G Plus.
Fortunately, there was no casualty.
