GUWAHATI: In a raid conducted by the Special Task Force Assam near Maharishi Kids Home, Sawkuchi, under Basistha Police Station, Guwahati, a suspected drug peddler identified as Bappy Mallick was apprehended on Tuesday, October 15.

During the raid, authorities seized ten vials containing 13.3 grams of suspected heroin. In addition to the drugs, a mobile phone was also confiscated from the individual.
The apprehended individual, Bappy Mallick is currently residing in Ahom Gaon under the Gorchuk Police Station. He was found at the residence of Rajesh Medhi at the time of the raid.
The STF Assam, in collaboration with the local police, is conducting the necessary formalities following the raid. Further investigation is ongoing to determine the source of the contraband and potential links to larger networks.
