GUWAHATI: Basanta Kumar Baishya, Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Jorhat Medical College & Hospital, has been appointed as the acting Principal of Pragjyotishpur Medical College, Guwahati.

Baishya, who is also currently serving as the in-charge Director of the Cardiothoracic and Neurosciences Centre at Gauhati Medical College (GMC), will now take on this additional responsibility with immediate effect, alongside his regular duties.
