GUWAHATI: The driver of a goods truck in Guwahati was found dead on March 4. The dead body was recovered by the Kharupetia Police Station (PS).
The truck was bound towards Dhekiajuli carrying goods worth approximately Rs 30 lakh of clothes and cycle parts. It was loaded from East India Transport Agency (EITA). The owner Ashish Hooda was tracking the bus when the GPS stopped working after 8:30 PM.
The truck number was As-O1EC-8376.
As per the owner, the driver had packed food near Changsari. The driver Rafuiqul Islam's body was recovered near a bridge in Rowta.
The matter has been confirmed to G Plus by Abhijit Kakati, Officer in Charge of Kharupetia Police Station. The police are now investigating the matter and the post mortem has been conducted.
The owner has expressed his displeasure regarding the matter. A reward has been announced if the truck is found by anyone.
