GUWAHATI: Dead body of a 20-year-old has been recovered by Basistha Police from Beltola on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ratul Hazarika, who was a tea-seller.
Although the deceased's family has claimed it a suicide case, Police have not yet confirmed if the incident is a murder or suicide.
The dead body has been currently sent to GMCH for post-mortem.
Speaking to G Plus, OC of Basistha Police Station said, "His family has alleged it to be a suicide case and that the body was found hanging. But we did not recover any rope or other such tool from the incident spot which can confirm the same. Details about the incident can be provided only after we get the post-mortem reports."
