GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Cyber Police team recovered a total of ₹3,20,463 in connection with a fake investment scheme on Thursday, October 24. This scheme had defrauded a victim from Malibagan of ₹37 lakhs.

An additional recovery of ₹70,463 was credited to the victim’s bank account today, following a detailed investigation.
Earlier, the cyber team had successfully recovered ₹2.5 lakh as part of their ongoing efforts to retrieve the lost amount. Authorities are continuing their investigation to recover the remaining funds stolen in the fraudulent scheme.
The victim had previously fallen prey to the fake investment scheme, leading to a significant financial loss.
Meanwhile, the police have urged the public to remain cautious and avoid suspicious investment offers online to prevent such scams, as efforts are underway to apprehend those responsible for the fraud.
