GUWAHATI: The Greater Guwahati Cable TV Operators’ Association urged the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to revise the recently formulated tariff order for cable TV services in India.
As per the new formulation, all paid channels may be deactivated by the broadcasters on December 29, although the free-to-air channels will continue.

It is to be mentioned that over more than 250 cable operators are covering one lakh customers in Guwahati and the new tariff order will affect them all.
