Guwahati Based Royal Group to Donate ₹1 Crore Towards Corona Relief

GUWAHATI: Royal Group, Guwahati, a leading real estate developer also running Royal Global University and Royal Global School at Guwahati has come forward to generously donate Rs 1,00,00,000/ (Rupees One crore) for fighting Corona virus pandemic. 

The chairman of the group Dr AK Pansari today spoke to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam Sri Sarbananda Sonowal and stated that they have earmarked Rs 1,00,00,000 (Rs One crore) to fight this greatest challenge to the mankind out of which a part will go to PM CARES Fund , one part to CM Relief Fund , one part to Assam Arogya Nidhi and one part will be spent on food , ration, etc directly to the needy people affected due to lockdown.  

The Hon’ble Chief Minister appreciated the generosity of the Royal Group.

The amount, a major part of which has come from the management of Royal Group, is one of the first major corporate contributions from Assam towards combating the existence-threatening Coronavirus.

Talking exclusively to G Plus, Chairman of Royal Group, AK Pansari said that besides the educational arm of their activities, the Royal Group is into real estate having already announced 28 projects of affordable housing all over Assam under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY).

Speaking exclusively to G Plus, he said, "This global pandemic is threatening human existence and seeing the role that the central and state governments are playing, we at Royal Group understand that we, the private sector, have a part to play... an important part. As such, we have taken measures to ensure a contribution of Rs 1 crore to the state government."
