GUWAHATI: A barber's throat was slit by a customer in Narengi, Guwahati. The incident happened at Narengi Tiniali at Rima Hair Dress Salon run by Ajay Thakur.

One Ronodhir Ray, a Satgaon resident had visited the salon as a customer. Following this a fight started with Ajay Thakur. As per reports, the salon owner's throat was slit by the customer.
The incident was confirmed to G Plus by Noonmati Police Station. However, the Officer in Charge (OC) of the police station has claimed the weapon was a small knife that the customer carried instead of the salon's shaving blade. "We have gathered intel that both actually know each other. They usually banter about in the shop. But, yesterday it led to a serious fight," OC Pabitra Bhuyan told G Plus.
The salon owner has been sent to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). His family has filed a complaint in Noonmati Police Station.
