“The interactive session provided a platform for the energetic and talented constabulary to come up with new ideas to meet the challenges of new age and need for people friendly policing,” said Saikia in a facebook post.

Following the event, he thanked everyone for their positive responses on the event and said that the meet was “mutually benefitting.”

“The constables were young, they were asked to discuss with other colleagues before coming so that they do reflect a representative view, and speak out in the program. Their suggestions were noted for actions as far as possible. Hope this becomes a regular feature in Assam Police for the time to come,” he added.
