GUWAHATI: Another incident of a water pipeline burst was reported in Guwahati on Tuesday in the Noonmati area.
According to primary reports, the incident occurred at Sector 2 in the Noonmati area today afternoon.
The water supply in the area was temporarily halted in view of the incident, as per reports.
As per the latest update, the Kamrup Metro District Administration clarified that the affected pipeline belonged to the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL).
The situation is now under control and the water supply has been restored, they stated.
Guwahati Jal Board also took to Twitter to put out, "Reference Water Pipeline burst at Noonmati: This is to clarify to all concerned that the pipeline in question does not belong to Guwahati Jal Board. It is learnt that the pipeline belongs to IOCL. Concerned stakeholders may note the same accordingly. Thank you."
