GUWAHATI: An official of the Assam Electronics Development Corporation Limited, also known as AMTRON, is under investigation by the Assam Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for allegedly siphoning off Rs 2.57 crore, police said on Friday, November 12.
The AMTRON official identified as Rahul Huzuri has been detained for questioning by the Assam Police’s CID. However, Huzuri has denied wrongdoing and claimed that his bank account had been hacked.
The CID has refused to comment further on the matter as investigations are still underway. G Plus also spoke to a senior official from AMTRON, who claimed further details of the case will only be available after due investigation.
