GUWAHATI: In a joint operation conducted with the Narcotic Bureau, Assam Police seized 1,418 bottles of codeine-based cough syrup on Sunday.
According to the reports, two persons, viz, Debojit Kalita and Jitu Rabha have been apprehended near Khanapara overbridge, opposite to Indian Oil Petrol Pump with codeine-based cough syrups.
Kalita is a resident from Rangia and Jitu Rabha is a resident of Maladhora, Goalpara.
