Gunotsav 2024 Covers 43,498 Schools And 39,63,542 Students In Assam

GUWAHATI: Gunotsav 2024 kicked off on January 3 and is set to span until February 8, aiming to assess and enhance the quality of education across all 35 districts of the state.

The evaluation will encompass 43,498 Government, Provincialised, Tea Garden Model Schools, KGBVs, Residential Schools, and Adarsha institutions, extending its reach to Vidyalayas and Tea Garden Management Schools.

An extensive participation of 39,63,542 students from classes I to IX is anticipated in this comprehensive program. The assessment will be executed with precision, as 18,098 External Evaluators, categorized based on enrolment numbers, will be strategically deployed throughout the state. This includes 250 for IEE, 251 to 499 for 2EEs, and 500 and above enrolment with 10% reserved for 3EEs.

Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu took to X to put out, “A #NewYear, a New Gunotsav! Pleased to share that we will be conducting Gunotsav from January 3-February 8, 2024. Here are some facts about the initiative that has transformed Assam's education sector.”
