Under the new guidelines, teachers in all schools have been instructed to report before 9 AM, and their arrival and departure times must be logged into the Shiksha Setu App. It has been mentioned that teachers who arrive late for three consecutive days will have one casual leave deducted. If no casual leave is available, a day's salary will be withheld.

Class teachers have also been made personally responsible for maintaining daily student attendance, as heads of institutions will be verifying these records. In the event of network issues affecting app-based attendance marking, supervisors have been instructed to share geotagged group photographs in designated WhatsApp groups.

Additionally, all lower primary schools must remain open till 2:05 PM, while ME, MV, high and higher secondary schools must operate till 3:25 PM. Non-teaching staff have been directed to report before 10:00 AM and stay until 4:30 PM to ensure availability for official documentation and reporting.

Furthermore, post graduate teachers (PGTs) have been instructed to conduct classes in the high school section, with the timetable adjusted accordingly. School heads have been held responsible for enforcing these guidelines and are to maintain hard copies of attendance records and class schedules for future reference.

The notice was passed following a meeting held the previous day at Cotton Collegiate Higher Secondary School. It included heads of High and Higher Secondary Schools across the Kamrup Metro district.
