GUWAHATI: The Government Railway Police (GRP) seized 35.1 kg of suspected cannabis (ganja) at Guwahati Railway Station on Tuesday night, March 4.

The contraband, packed in 34 packets inside three trolley bags, was recovered from two passengers travelling on Train No. 15909 DN Avadh Assam Express from Dimapur to New Delhi. The raid took place around 9:40 PM, leading to the arrest of two individuals namely Kheboto V Muru (24 years) and N. Hotolu Achumi (47 years), both from Dimapur, Nagaland.
Authorities have confirmed that the legal process has been initiated against the accused.
Investigations are underway to determine the source and destination of the illicit consignment.
