GUWAHATI: Actor Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, are reportedly heading for a divorce after 37 years of marriage. Sources claim the couple has been living separately for some time, though neither has officially confirmed the rumors.

The alleged strain in their relationship is believed to be due to differing lifestyle choices, compounded by rumors about Govinda’s suspected involvement with a Marathi actress. However, Govinda’s secretary, Shashi Sinha, has strongly denied the divorce rumors, dismissing them as false.
Earlier, Sunita Ahuja confirmed in an interview with Hindi Rush that she and Govinda have been living in separate homes. She explained that while she and their children reside in their apartment, Govinda often stays at their bungalow after long meetings and social gatherings.
Govinda and Sunita married in March 1987 and later welcomed their daughter Tina in 1988 and their son Yashvardhan in 1997.
