GUWAHATI: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the Revised Cost Estimate (RCE) of the North Eastern Region Power System Improvement Project (NERPSIP) at an estimated cost of Rs. 6,700 crore on the 16th of December.

"People of northeast are grateful to PM Narendra Modi Ji for his commitment towards the development of northeast region. Today, Cabinet approved the Revised Cost Estimate of North Eastern Region Power System Improvement Project." said the Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijiju on his Facebook page expressing his delight.
The main objective of the project is the total economic development of the North Eastern Region and to strengthen the Intra-State Transmission & Distribution Infrastructure within the northeast region.
