This initiative aims to enforce adherence to trade licenses, proper waste disposal procedures, and related regulations. The GMC's drive is set to continue in the upcoming days, with a strong commitment to maintaining citywide standards.
During the ongoing drive, officials from the GMC are meticulously inspecting commercial premises to ensure that trade licenses are up-to-date and in compliance with established protocols. Additionally, a key focus of the campaign is the meticulous examination of waste disposal practices employed by these establishments. Stricter measures are being taken to ensure that businesses are managing their waste responsibly, in accordance with environmental guidelines.
The GMC's dedication to fostering a clean and regulated commercial environment is evident through its punitive measures for non-compliance. Establishments found violating the stipulated norms have faced fines commensurate with the extent of their transgressions.
Individuals, as well as businesses, have already been fined sums of money ranging from ₹500 to as high as ₹1,00,000 from areas like MG Road, SRCB Road, GS Road and Hengrabari.
