Girls outshine boys in class 10 CBSE board exam; 13 students share top rank

GUWAHATI: Girls have performed better than boys in the recently announced class 10 CBSE board exam with a pass percentage of 92.4%. The pass percentage for the boys is 90.14%.

A total of 13 students shared the first rank, scoring 499 marks out of 500. Eight of those students are from Uttar Pradesh. 
It can also be mentioned that the pass percentage is 4.4% points higher than last year’s 86.7%.

This year, altogether 17.6 lakh students appeared in the CBSE class 10 examination all over India.  

CBSE will provide Class 10 digital academic documents (marksheets, migration certificate and pass certificate) through its own academic repository ‘Parinam Manjusha’ which is integrated with DigiLocker at https://digilocker.gov.in.

The DigiLocker account credentials will be sent to students via SMS once they register their mobile numbers with CBSE.
