G Plus completes 4 years of publication!

Guwahati‘s Premier English weekly, Guwahati Plus, popularly known as G Plus, has successfully completed 4 years of continued week-on-week publication. G Plus has been successful in reaching out to over 1,00,000 evolved and informed Guwahatians through its print edition and over a million visitors through its social channels with its sharp and analytical take on reporting and journalism on a wide variety of subjects covering the interests of the people of city.


Congratulating the newspaper on this occasion, Honourable Chief Minister of Assam, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal said in his message, ‘In these four years, G Plus has touched upon several basic issues and tried to mould public opinion on these issues. My best wishes to G Plus family and may your stature grow’.

The Founder and Publisher of G Plus, Sunit Jain said, ‘G Plus is dedicated to the people of Guwahati and its development. I am elated to see the response of fellow city-zens and their participation in contributing to our news desk, readership and the tremendous following and viewership that has been developed on our digital platforms making G Plus truly owned by the people of the city.’

Over the last 4 years, G Plus has also taken various initiatives to engage with the people of Guwahati like the Guwahati Food Awards, the Guwahati Theatre Festival and Campus Talks and the award winning Ward Talks which have been very well received by the people.

Swapnil Bharali, Editor of G Plus also thanked the people of Guwahati for the tremendous love showered on this publication. On the occasion of the 4th anniversary, we have launched a new advanced mobile optimised website. Visitors of the website at www.guwahatiplus.com will now get a very friendly  user interface that allows them to quickly read news briefs on their mobile and swipe to another without any effort. The website also facilitates provision to Report a News from citizens encouraging Citizen Journalism. G Plus publishes a 24-paged all colour tabloid-sized weekly every Saturday covering local news and analysis on areas like governance, crime, wards, health, education, art & culture, events, etc.
