GUWAHATI: A doctor from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) sustained minor injuries after being attacked by a fruit seller at Bhangagarh, Guwahati, on Wednesday, January 22. The doctor was identified as Himangshu Rajbongshi.

The incident occurred during a verbal spat between the doctor and the fruit seller. During the dispute, the fruit seller attacked the doctor with a pair of scissors, causing minor injuries.
The doctor was immediately rushed to GMCH for treatment.
The accused, identified as Imdadul Haque, was later apprehended by Bhangagarh police.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Bhangagarh police station said, “In an altercation between a fruit seller and a GMCH doctor in the evening, the fruit seller attacked the doctor with a pair of scissors, causing minor injuries. The doctor was immediately taken to GMCH for treatment. The fruit seller was later apprehended. Further investigation is underway.”
