Four Bangladeshi Immigrants Intercepted In Assam’s Karimganj Border, Pushed Back

 

GUWAHATI: Police in Karimganj district of Assam intercepted four Bangladeshis who attempted to cross over to India illegally in the wee hours of Monday, August 12,

The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 AM in the Karimganj sector, a sensitive area known for frequent unauthorised crossings.

The four Bangladeshi nationals, identified as Motiur Seikh, Mushiar Mullah, Tania Mullah, and Rita Mullah, were intercepted by police at the zero point of the border. The group attempted to enter Indian territory without the necessary legal documentation or permissions.

The attempted crossing was repelled, preventing any breach of the international border. The individuals involved were turned back into Bangladeshi territory.
