Flood Alert sounded for parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram

GUWAHATI: A cyclonic circulation has developed over Bangladesh and its adjoining areas, and following this, rain intensity is expected to increase over parts of Meghalaya and Tripura. 

Heavy to extremely heavy rain and thundershower activities expected over many parts of Northeast India especially Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram and southern districts of Assam.

After June 3, the rain intensity will take a sudden spike and following that, thundershowere activities will continue until June 7, according to Skymet Weather. 

Skymet has also issued a flood alert for northeastern states, especially Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura. Precautions and preparations have been advised for all living in these areas to avoid any mishappening and avoid disruptions.
