GUWAHATI: Five more colleges from Assam have received the Letter of Intent (LoI) from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
This was notified by Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu on X on Thursday, February 13.
The newly approved institutions are:
-C.K.B. College, Teok
-Digboi College
-Lakhimpur Girls’ College
-Sibsagar Commerce College
-Sibsagar Girls’ College
These institutes join the eight colleges that had previously been granted the LoI, further expanding the reach of the ITEP in Assam. The programme aims to enhance teacher training and improve the quality of education by integrating a four-year multidisciplinary curriculum.
