Guwahati: India’s first Gen Beta baby, Frankie Remruatdika Zadeng, was born at 12:03 AM on January 1, 2025, marking the start of a new generational era. Frankie was born in Aizawl, Mizoram, at Synod Hospital, weighing 3.12 kg and is reported to be in good health.

Frankie's birth not only marks the beginning of the year but also ushers in Generation Beta, the cohort of children born from 2025 to 2039. His parents, Ramzirmawii (Mother) and ZD Remruatsanga (Father), along with his older sister, are celebrating the arrival of their healthy son. Ramzirmawii expressed her joy, calling it a unique experience to give birth to India’s first Gen Beta child.
What is Gen Beta?
Generation Beta is the beginning of new era. It follows Generation Alpha (born 2010-2024) and is expected to be defined by advancements in technology and a new approach to sustainability and well-being. Experts predict that Gen Beta will be highly tech-savvy, health-conscious, and grow up amidst developments in robotics, space exploration, personalised medicine, and sustainable living.
The new generation is expected to develop a more balanced relationship with technology, growing up in an environment where innovation and sustainability are intertwined.
