GUWAHATI: The official website of the Army College of Nursing in Jalandhar Cantonment was hacked on Friday, April 25, by an alleged Pakistan-based hacker group known as Team Insane PK. The breach occurred just days after the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which left 26 people dead.

The landing page of the website was defaced with the message “YOU ARE HACKED !!! TEAM INSANE PK”, accompanied by a disturbing image linked to the Pahalgam terror attack on Tuesday, April 22. The message also included references to the two-nation theory.
Notably, the Army College of Nursing is administered by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) and is not directly controlled by the Indian Army, but the autonomous institution will be required to coordinate with the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), the national agency responsible for handling cybersecurity incidents, to investigate and recover from the attack.
As of right now, upon visiting the website, the following message appears: “website under upgradation.”
The cyber attack follows India’s announcement of stringent diplomatic measures against Pakistan. These include the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, revocation of visas for most Pakistani nationals, excluding long-term visas granted to Pakistani Hindus, and the expulsion of defence advisors at the Pakistani High Commission.
In retaliation, Pakistan has announced its decision to suspend all bilateral agreements, including the Simla Agreement, and has closed its airspace to Indian carriers.
Team Insane PK has been previously linked to cyber attacks on Indian government and private websites, including incidents ahead of the 2023 G20 Summit. The group also gained notoriety after hacking the Burger Singh website in 2024 over a controversial promotional code.
