GUWAHATI: A massive fire broke out at Gopashtmi Mela held at Athgaon Gaushala on 16 November, later in the evening.
According to reports, the fire took place in one of the food stall which was put up in at the Gopashtmi Mela at Athgaon Gaushala. The fire was as the result of some cylinder leakage.

However, there were hoax rumours of bombs and due to which the situation intensified and caused chaos among the people present in the Mela.
The Fire Department reached in no time and was able to douse off the fire.
