GUWAHATI: A fire broke out at a food processing factory in Guwahati's Panikhaiti, in the early hours of Wednesday, February 19, causing extensive damage to the facility.

The blaze spread rapidly through the premises, prompting an immediate response from emergency services. Two fire tenders were dispatched to the scene and, after sustained efforts, managed to bring the fire under control. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined but authorities suspect that a short circuit could have triggered it.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Panikhaiti Outpost said, “ A fire broke out in a factory which had been doused and further investigations were underway to determine the extent of the financial losses, which are believed to be substantial.”
