Final Voter turnout at 85.11%, Gauhati records the lowest at 80.81%

GUWAHATI: The conclusion of the Lok Sabha elections in Gauhati, Barpeta, Kokrajhar and Dhubri on April 23 marked the end of the third and final phase of polls in Assam. The state recorded a total of 81.52% of voter turnout in all the three phase with 85.11% in the third phase.

The total percentage of male voters in all the three phases stands at male: 81.73%, female: 81.30% and third gender: 4.89%.

In the third phase, Gauhati Lok Sabha constituency recorded the lowest turnout of voters among the four constituency that went to polls. 

Gauhati recorded a turnout of 80.81% with male voters at 81.64%, females at 79.96% and third gender standing at 5.13%.

Dhubri recorded the highest turnout out of the four constituencies with 90.66%, second to it Barpeta with 86.60% voter turnout, while Kokrajhar recorded 83.16% respectively.
