GUWAHATI: A team from the Special Task Force (STF) apprehended six individuals and seized various items during two operations targeting Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) in the Dispur area.

As part of an ongoing investigation into a FICN case, the STF conducted a raid at Bormotoria under Dispur Police Station, where they seized several items.
The items included a vehicle, FICN valued at ₹14,000 along with a bundle of white papers, six mobile handsets and other articles. Three individuals were apprehended during this operation.
In a separate operation at Ganeshguri under Dispur PS, the STF acted on intelligence received and conducted a raid targeting FICN.
In this operation, three individuals were apprehended, and the following items were seized: Fake Indian Currency Notes worth ₹23,000, along with 564 pieces of currency-shaped white paper, one vehicle, four mobile phones, and cash amounting to ₹2,120.
