Few hours after Airstrike on Pakistan, India test-fires Two Missiles

GUWAHATI: Just a few hours after the Indian Air Force conducted an airstrike on terror groups in Pakistan, it also successfully test-fired short-range Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM) off of the Odisha coast on Tuesday, February 26.

From a test facility at Chandipur in the Balasore district, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) test-fired two missiles. The missiles were fired from a canister mounted on a rotatable truck-based launch unit.

The missile has a strike range of approximately 30 kms and is capable of killing aerial targets, tanks and bunkers.

The Defence Ministry congratulated DRDO for successfully test-firing indigenous QRSAM demonstrating robust control, aerodynamics and manoeuvring capabilities, as did Defence Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman and Odisha Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik.
