Ferry Services Resume in Guwahati from October 5

GUWAHATI: The Inland Water Transport (IWT), Guwahati has notified about the resuming of ferry services on the river Brahmaputra from the morning of October 5.

Raj Hussain Kham, the Executive Engineer of IWT, confirming the same said, "Due to the receding water level of the Brahmaputra, ferry and boat services will be resumed."

Earlier, the Kamrup Metropolitan district administration had suspended all boat and ferry services from Guwahati to North Guwahati and Kurua starting from the evening of 28th September due to the rise in water level of the River Brahmaputra.
