GUWAHATI: A law student from Delhi has filed a lawsuit against singer Diljit Dosanjh and the organisers of his upcoming Dil-Luminati Tour, accusing them of applying unfair trade practices to sell tickets. The lawsuit alleges that the ticket booking process underwent manipulation, resulting in fans being unable to secure tickets despite following the booking guidelines.

The student claimed that although she had a registered HDFC Credit Card, she was unable to purchase a concert ticket, but the money was still deducted from her account. She said that the tickets were supposed to go on sale at 1 PM on September 12, but the booking window opened a minute early at 12:59 PM. As a result, many fans were left without tickets, which reportedly sold out in just a minute. The student's money was refunded after the failed transaction.

The lawsuit accuses the organisers of artificially inflating demand and engaging in price manipulation, which the student argues violates the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. She also reportedly accused the organisers of ticket scalping.

Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour is set to begin in Delhi on October 26, and will travel to cities including Guwahati, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Bangalore.
