Ex-Railway Employee Held For Placing Detonators On Track In Madhya Pradesh

GUWAHATI: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrested a former railway employee on Monday, September 23 for allegedly placing 10 detonators on a railway track in Madhya Pradesh. The apprehended individual, who works as a track patroller, was detained on Monday after being accused of stealing and setting off detonators.

According to Central Railway, the former railway employee had illegally obtained railway detonators and placed them on the railway track without any emergency. He was arrested under the Railways Property Unlawful Possession Act following interrogation.

The RPF has launched a thorough investigation into the case, exploring all possible motives. Meanwhile, speculation on social media suggests that the individual may have been attempting to target an Army special train.

The Indian Railways has not made a statement regarding the incident, as of right now.
